Paint is absolutely one of the most impactful ways you can create change in a space. That's why you'll see paint projects for every object. It's smart, it's budget friendly, and it can be as bold or mellow as your heart desires. And my heart? It desires the bold. That's why I was thrilled to give my kiddo the teal dresser of his dreams. Today I'm going to share how I painted our teal dresser for an easy, big impact punch of color in his bedroom design.
This post is in partnership with Velvet Finishes.

How To Paint A Teal Dresser
You'll need a few key supplies to paint any piece of furniture. I've used the same paint line successfully for multiple paint projects now and they've all turned out beautifully and are holding up perfectly.- Velvet Finishes Ready Spray
- Velvet Finishes Colour Furniture Paint
- Velvet Finishes Protect Sealant
- Paint Brush
Simply spray the piece to be painted down with the ready spray and wipe away after 30-45 seconds. Then apply the paint color of your choice with a brush. Reapply once the previous coat is dry until desires opaqueness is achieved. Use enhancement products like a glaze if your project calls for it. Then you can seal the paint with protect for extra protection against dings and scratches. Protect also adds a bit of shine to the piece as well since the Velvet Finishes paints dry to a velvet looking finish.
Easy Big Impact Design
The bright punch of color makes us so happy! The kiddo loves it. I love it. And it was honestly one of the easiest projects I've ever taken on. Which kind of blows my mind since it looks like it took more time and effort than it did.

Honestly that velvet smooth finish is just the dreamiest. It never ceases to impress me. I never knew how easy it could be to paint a piece of furniture. And now that I've experienced this remarkable formula, I've been all about that furniture painting life. And that's coming from a person who dreads painting walls.

In one lazy weekend evening I painted this dresser and ended up with the coolest looking piece for my kiddo's room. I don't know what's cooler. The fact that he requested a teal dresser or that it could be accomplished so quickly. It's all pretty cool in my book though.
