There's only a few times a year I get really, really excited about making over a space. And the One Room Challenge is one of those times. Something about having a deadline and the excitement of working on a room with fellow home enthusiasts makes it special. Once again, I am jumping into a room makeover challenge, the Spring 2020 ORC as a guest participant. My plans? To turn my living room into the moody boho hygge space of my dreams.

Moody Boho Living Room | Hygge Meets Design | ORC Plans
I have been fine tuning the design for the makeover for months now and I'm so excited to finally have the chance to reveal it. I'm going for more muted tones with pops of color. I love mystical details and cozy comfort so my goal is to make hygge meet design. I totally believe a room can be super comfortable and welcoming and still have high style. This room is going to prove it.
Most of the major pieces in the room are changing but I am keeping my existing vintage credenza turned media cabinet. I'm going for a darker vibe overall with muted colors being the primary colors and brighter colors being the pops. As always, I'll be mixing second hand with new.
Featured In the Design Board:
Floor Lamp
Mirror
Sofa
Curtains
Rug
Mural
Wall Sconces
Cabinet
I'll also be putting together a gallery wall to hang above my newly sourced vintage rattan bistro set. I'm so excited for the prints that I've found. They are perfect for the vibe I'm going after and the colors are exactly what I'm bringing into the rest of the room.

Isn't that going to be so cool!? I can hardly wait for them to arrive. I can hardly wait for everything to arrive. I haven't been this excited about a room makeover since my Moody Bohemian Dining Room Reveal. It's not that surprisingly though since it'll be the second room getting a makeover in the moody vibe I'm embracing.
