It's still quite warm here where we are living but the mornings have been cooler and the wind has a bit of crispness that is quintessential to Autumn and so I have felt compelled to usher more of that in by decorating for Fall. The way I decorate for Fall is simple. I swap out a few textiles in colors and textures that bring in the warm and cozy vibes and I add a few nods to the season in the way of decorative pumpkins. Let me show you my simply decorated, colorful Fall home tour below.

Simply Decorated Colorful Fall Home Tour
The first room you come into at my abode is the living room. It's a small house without a proper entryway so you'll come straight into the room. You'll be greeted with velvet and corduroy throw pillows that I just picked up on Amazon. The fabric is definitely something cozy to cuddle up with as the evenings grow darker. The colors are bright and warm and are colors of Fall sunsets around here.
I've laid out a few extra throw blankets so that everyone can easily grab one. It'll especially be appreciated in another month as things cool off a bit more. I'm intentional in the throw blankets I put out too for design purposes. I choose heavier blankets in colors that are muted and deeper. Maroon, mustard and navy blue are all lovely nontraditional colors to decorate within Fall.
On a credenza to the side of the room, I've swapped out my everyday decor for a bundle of flowers and ceramic pumpkins on brass candlestick holders. I do this for pretty much every holiday. The varying heights make a regular collection of pumpkins much more interesting to the eye.
I rarely burn candles in the summer. I just don't need any more reminders of the heat even from the comfort of indoors. But when Fall and Winter come, I put out candles everywhere. I love the cozy vibes of a flame.
Then moving onto my home office, I've kept with the simplicity theme. Two faux pumpkins adorn the left side of my desk. The green velvet one was from the dollar store last year and the small white one was part of a pack of white and black ones from Target's dollar spot section. I'm saving the black ones for Halloween. On the other side, I've placed a felt letterboard with a simple "Greetings Autumn" message.
This same room is also still my temporary bedroom while my actual bedroom is painted. Atop the dresser, I've added a few cute little details like a small vase of chrysanthemums, a farmer's truck figurine that I adore, and two more faux pumpkins. The mirrored copper one is again from the dollar store and the felt from Target's dollar spot section.
My bedding is probably the simplest and yet the biggest impact here. The addition of a rust-colored quilt and matching shams adds a vibrant punch of classic autumnal color in here. I also swapped out the sheets for dusty coral colored ones. I kept the linen duvet and pillowcases, Morrocan wedding blanket throw, and the neutral-colored throw pillows to balance everything out.
Off this room is the sunporch. As it's the only dining space in the house for the moment, I turned it into a little alfresco dining space. I set the table with basic grey dinner plates and topped them with pumpkin appetizer plates. And the centerpiece is made up of faux eucalyptus branches turned around a lantern and two wood candlesticks holding two more ceramic pumpkins. It's simple yet pretty.
Lastly, the bathroom. I even added a little touch of Fall in here. Above the toilet are shelves so I swapped out the framed moon phase print for this harvest one I made and added two more faux pumpkins. They're small switches you can do pretty much anywhere in the home. Little effort on a major budget is basically my whole life mission.
