I love how a good and simple project can totally change the way a day is going. I've had this idea in my had for the longest time now to use macrame knots and pieces of wood to create a hanging macrame blanket ladder. It was so easy to figure out how to make it work and I'm so excited to share how you can also make a macrame blanket ladder for your home.

I challenged my group, Bohemian Interiors, to look around their house and see what they have on hand that they could create something new with. I took on the challenge myself knowing I already had many half finished projects I could just pick up and finish. Since finishing a project isn't exactly in the spirit of the challenge, I took stock of what I had on hand and went from there.
This hanging macrame blanket ladder is so easy! And the supply list is quite short.
Supplies:
Cotton Clothesline
1 x 2 whitewood board
3/16 drill bit
Power Drill
Wood Ring
How To Make A Macrame Blanket Ladder
1. Cut The Wood

6. String Short Strings Through Holes, Long Strings Behind Wood, Secure With Two Square Knots

DIY Macrame Blanket Ladder
Mastering easy macrame knots makes a project like this easy to complete. I'm quite glad I had the clothesline rope on hand because I think it's design for holding wet clothes made it perfect for holding the weight of blankets like this. It's sturdy, it was fun to make, and I absolutely love the way it turned out!
