How To Design A Gallery Wall With Art Prints | Fy! | One Room Challenge

I have always been a lover of wall decor. The variety of what can be used and how unique a look can be achieved makes it one of my favorite parts of a room design. Art prints are a simple way of decorating walls. From a structured gallery wall to an eclectic mix, art prints can be the jumping off point or the element that ties a room together. I love them and that's exactly why I wanted to create one and share how to design a gallery wall with you today.

This week the art prints I selected arrived and so I set aside an afternoon to get them hung up on the wall. It's such a easy change for the room. And it adds so much wow factor! Watch the unboxing and install below.

How To Design A Gallery Wall With Art Prints

First things first, find yourself a source for art prints. Fy! has an incredible selection of wall art prints in every color, style, and size you could possibly want for your gallery wall. With categories like: Shop By Room, Shop By Type, Shop By Theme, Shop By Colour, Shop By Style, and Shop By Shape, it's really easy to filter their expansive selection to find prints that suite the vibe you're after.

Once you've found your favorite prints, you can pare down your choices further by looking for colors, shapes, and themes that fit the room you're putting them in. If your room design is going to be based on the gallery wall, make sure to include colors and designs that can inspire the evolution of the room itself. If your gallery wall is going into a room that already has colors to pull from, make sure the pieces you choose compliment that piece.

Once you're down to your favorites that work for your room, use an app like Canva to test arranging the prints before ordering. Then you'll truly know if they vibe together and work in the layout you're wanting to go with. Check out these sample gallery wall layouts below:

Here's the wall art I chose to go with

Now that I've put all of this together, let's take a look at how it actually looks on the wall!

I feel like "I'm obsessed" is an understatement! It truly came together so much better than I was imagining. And I LOVE the way it works with the rug and mural in here. The colors are vibrant, the frames are substantial, the colors match the rest of the room perfectly, the prints add such a cool feel in here.

Clearly the cat loves it.

What do you think? The Palmistry print is by far my favorite. That's why I chose to make it the main image. Which one do you like the most?

With the struggle I've had over what to do about replacing the sofa, this is definitely the design win I needed. I couldn't be happier with what it does for this boring wall.

Work Left To Do:

Install Mural Feature Wall - Minted - Midnight Petals Mural Install
Paint Baseboards and Window Trim
Replace Door Hardware
Hang Gallery Wall
Hang Rattan Mirror
Recover Rattan Chairs
Install New Lighting - Lighting A Room With No Built In Lighting | Maxim Lighting
Hang New Curtains - ordered (may just go in store at this point, still haven't shipped)
Replace Area Rug
Replace Sofa
Upgrade TV
Source A Second Hand Coffee Table - purchased a new one on clearance
DIY Plant Pot Project - coming to the blog soon!
Wall Mount TV - this weekend

That's the final update on this room before next week's reveal! I'm certain I'll get everything but the sofa done before the reveal. I'm excited to share the room with you regardless though! Don't miss the other ORC guest participant blog updates today!
